My wife received a number of SMS messages from these clowns & did not reply. But they have her subscribed to their “service” & have emptied her pre-paid card. Optus were less than helpful apart from stating she would be billed $24 if she smsed the 19719737 number with STOP or STOPTONES. Optus also hung up on me when I suggested the Federal Police should be involved & I asked for the “customer support” person’s name. Federal Police & ACCC simply referred me on to the usual departments. Any way of finding out the ISP & telephone provider hosting them?

I received 4 txt mgs each costing $6.60 from unlimited tones. I didn’t know what the hell was going on because all what my phone showed was that the txts came from a browser with no reply number. I also could not make out what they meant. The money was gone just like that… I called Optus and they told me they could not do anything about it and could not even offer any protection from such scams. When I called Unlimited tones on 1300 303 914 I only found a machine which requested for my bank account details in order to process a refund… Does this scam ring a bell? First a series of txts that left my phone dry, then a machine that requires your bank details!! Does anyone know how to contact these people without getting the automated service on the other side.

For the Past 3 months unlimited Tones have charged me Premium text calls 19719737 billed by AAPT who does all my billing for all my accounts. For 15/12/06 I had 5 charges all between 8-04 and 8-05pm. for 9/1/07 6 charges all between 2-50 and 2-51pm For February month on 5/2/07 there were 6 calls @ 6-00 each all done at 9-53am and again on the 11/2/07 5 calls all done @ 11-29pm and 1 at 11-30pm according to the billing by AAPT. How could 5 text messages been sent at the very same minute to me or how could I have phoned to 19719737 6 times in 1 minute. AAPT says I have been charged for the above for text messages I received from Premium Text, yet my AAPT bills indicate that I made calls to Premium Text, not text messages to them. I have never ever text messaged any company connected with any commodity. In fact we barely do text messages I only did 1 text message between Dec/06 and February/07 to a totally different number someone I know personally. On my account I am billed for the above under calls I
