Warning: Fraudulent Dedicated Server orders
We have been hearing a lot about some supposed fraudulent transactions for dedicated servers purchases lately by the owner of www dot ecnhost dot com (link removed to avoid referals).
The owner of this business (Grant) allegedly signs up with his own credit card. Once this bounces he allegedly asks for a login to the billing system to process another card and then starts trying various credit cards until one works.
We are slowly fielding more information on this and would love to hear from you if you have been affected.
Also, Grant, We would love to hear from you regarding this.
update: It appears that this character has also tried selling a number of Dell laptops on ebay with the username sydneysamie. If you have been hit by Grant then we can provide you with everything you need to take to your local police station. Please use the contact form.

This is hardly a rare occurance and it’s quite a shame. Not to generalize, but the hosting industry is full of “companies” like this. Good luck to Grant.

Hello to all,
Just a note to let you all know that the well known Mr Grant Lambden is still living it up on other peoples money!.He has just been removed by eBay again, as he has been selling the Latest computer systems that are available from Dell, under the name of the: hunnistore.
I just paid him $700.00 for a new Dell XPS M1710 Laptop (stupid me should have known, But sometimes you can come across a bargain on eBay.)
At the eBay checkout he supplied these bank details:
Bank: Suncorp
Account Name: Grant Lambden
BSB: 484-799
Account Number: 600232971He requested a direct deposit into the account, so that the laptop could be shipped that morning with all the other systems that had been sold to his customers.
In Warrnambool Victoria where I live, we dont have a suncorp branch, So I rang his mobile Phone (0406 577 100) to tell him I would have to pay via internet transferee.
He said he could give me his National Bank details, they are:
Bank: National Australia bank
Account Name: Grant Lambden
BSB: 084-034
Account Number: 792784391So on the 06/06/06 I walked in and payed the sum of $700.00 into his bank account.
As you can guess, still to this day 27/06/06 I have no laptop.
He still answers my SMS messages that i send him, and he says its still on its way.
His email addresses are: Grant@e5web.com.au (E5Web Manager)
info@e5web.com.au (Never answers)
Shipping@e5web.com.au (so you can try track your package- no answer)
On sunday 25/06/06 I asked for a refund and he said yes it would be paid to me on monday. Come Monday I SMS messaged him and his reply was he is sick.
So I have passed all emails and messages I have about the matter over to the local police here in Warrnambool.
Ebay have contacted me and have offered me a refund of up to $400.00 if they think I am eligible. It’s a pitty they only became aware of the problem the day after i paid for the laptop.
So far I have decided to not do any claim, as I would rather sit it out and see if I can recover the $700.00.

Hello all,
Just a note to let you all know that I ended up applying for the $400.00 refund offered by eBay.
The answer that I received was as expected, They said in an email that I was not eligible under there conditions. (So what do you do to be eligible).Also the Victorian Police have Notified me and have told me that they cannot help me anymore with the Mr Grant Lambden.
This is because the Mr Grant Lambden has committed the offense in Queensland, so the complaint has to be made to the Queensland Detectives.

Grant also tried unsuccessfully to scam us but was caught out and details forwarded to the investigating crime officer of his case.
In order to feign a legitmate identity, we has created http://awoc.com.au which is a clone of http://paperweb.com.au. We notified paperweb as a courtesy, and dropped the auDA a line as well.

I have just received a very pleasing phone call from a Victorian Police officer named Mr Graeme Fuller, located at the Port Campbell Police Station.He has just informed me that the Mr Grant Lambden was taken into police custody in Queensland some time today (Tuesday 29 August 2006).
I would like to say a bid thankyou to all who helped in the finding of the Mr Grant Lambden.

well i can tell you anything you would like to know about grant as i got sucked in big time by him and now i have his child. big mistake, he got court in august last year, i helped the cops get him after they told me everything that had happened, then he discharged himself from rehab dont know why that keep putting him in there, he was on the run till 9th of april 2008 when he was court again, and once again he was put in rehab, (queensland court system sucks) but confirmation from the police in brisbane who i have become very friendly with grant discharged himself again at the start of this month. I know grant very well, and his family, and if you would like to know anything about him please contact me.
